Allweather Wood Company, LLC (AWW) is seeking a General Manager to join our Hawaii Distribution team.
This is an exempt position offer a base salary of $100K - $140K. Your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic locations, skills, education and/or experience. Please keep in mind that that the range published is the full base salary. We also offer a generous benefits package.
Allweather Wood is the largest producer and distributor of waterborne preservative treated wood products in the Western USA. Operating six wood preserving plants in California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, these state-of-the-art facilities enable year-round production of a variety of preservative systems, fire retardants and wood species, including Douglas-fir, Hem fir, and Southern Yellow Pine. With support from two full-service distribution centers in California, Allweather Wood partners with home improvement retailers, lumberyards, and building material dealers to bring a full range of preservative and fire-retardant lumber and plywood products to market.

Responsibilities
The General Manager will provide management and leadership in all areas of the Hawaii Distribution Center, including but not limited to financial, operational, human resources, customer service, sales, environmental and safety.
- Act as key leader in the Hawaii Distribution Center by Managing site administrators who direct employees in Shipping and Receiving, Warehouse, Quality Control, Transportation, and Loading
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
- Represent the company when communicating with customers, key partners, and suppliers
- Provide excellent support to The Home Depot through product knowledge training, store service, and achievement of fill-rate and on-time delivery metrics
- Work with internal and external product suppliers to maintain proper inventory levels to support customer demand
- Provide timely sales support to The Home Depot on quotes and special-order requests
- Manage and negotiate business contracts with ocean freight carriers, product suppliers, and general support businesses
- Interact with Governmental agencies to ensure the Company meets all regulatory requirements
- Initiate recommendations for process and/or infrastructure changes
- Discuss operations budget, financial planning, and results with management
- Travel approximately 20% of the time (inter-island travel to stores/customers)
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; OR fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in customer service and sales highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of or willingness to learn inventory software and order processing systems
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must maintain, carry a valid driver’s license, and remain eligible to operate a company vehicle in accordance with company policy guidelines
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
