Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Office Receptionist to join the team at our 50-room boutique resort, Mendocino Cove. This position is the first point of contact for guests and plays an important role in creating a warm, welcoming, and efficient guest experience.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, stays calm under pressure, learns quickly, and takes pride in excellent customer service. Hospitality experience is helpful but not required. We are willing to train the right person who comes to us with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Primary Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism
- Check guests in and out of the hotel using the property management system
- Answer phones and assist with reservations and guest inquiries
- Provide information about resort amenities, local attractions, restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are guest-ready
- Assist with light administrative tasks and daily front desk organization
- Maintain a clean, calm, and professional front office environment
- Help create a positive guest experience that encourages repeat visits and strong reviews
Qualifications

- Comfortable using computers and phones and google suites
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
- High school diploma required
- Previous customer service or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to move throughout the property as needed
