Job Summary
Basic Function Works under the general supervision of the Clinical School Psychologist, provides individual and group counseling, supervision, crisis intervention, and consultation/outreach to students in alternative education and special education programs, including but not limited to students receiving Educationally Related Mental Health Services (ERMHS). Consults with teachers, administrators, specialists, parents, agency and district personnel; collaborate on the development of behavior management programs; and perform related duties.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications *Possess a current, valid license as one of the following: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); *Possess a Master’s Degree in social work or marriage and family therapy, or a Doctoral Degree in psychology from an accredited college or university; *Capacity to follow guidelines related to the provisions of Educationally Related Mental Health Services; *Experience working with children as a mental health clinician with experience working in a public education setting preferred; *Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with district office personnel, school district personnel, and outside agencies; *Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; *Provide proof of automobile insurability; *Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting sixty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of sixty (50) pounds with assistance.
