We are seeking an Engineering Manager, Web Platform and Infrastructure to both lead and contribute hands-on to the systems that power Mendaera’s platform. This team owns both core infrastructure and internal systems that enable development, manufacturing, and production of our medical device technology.
As Engineering Manager, you will lead and work alongside a team of engineers working to build and support cloud infrastructure, compliance, DevOps, and various internal web-based support tools.
You will define technical direction, manage execution, and ensure the scalability and compliance of the systems that underpin Mendaera’s work. This is a unique opportunity to turn prototypes into scalable, secure infrastructure supporting a dynamic medical device company.
This position reports to the VP of Software and collaborates with other software teams, as well as the product, hardware, and regulatory teams. The annual salary range for this role is $179,000 to $190,500.

Responsibilities Include
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers across infrastructure, compliance, and internal web platforms while contributing as an individual contributor on core projects.
- Define and drive the technical vision for infrastructure and internal systems, balancing leadership with hands-on implementation.
- Establish consistency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) across AWS environments.
- Oversee compliance practices for frameworks such as SOC2, HIPAA, and medical device regulatory requirements.
- Lead development of Mendaera’s internal web portal, to support manufacturing, service, and other operational workflows.
- Partner with stakeholders across engineering, clinical, and regulatory to align on priorities and execution.
- Enforce and hold a high bar for best practices in security, observability, automation, and availability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in infrastructure or DevOps, including 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong technical background in AWS, networking, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience with web application infrastructure and internal tools.
- Hands-on experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Splunk, CloudWatch).
- Excellent technical communication and ability to influence cross-functionally.
- Track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
- Experience supporting medical device systems or other regulated environments.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST) and regulated software development.
- Background in security architecture design and evaluation.
- Proficiency with Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
Salary : $179,000 - $190,500
