Duties:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiratory rate
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer vaccines and medications, including oral, topical, and inhaled medications, as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing billing information
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and medical history
- Assist in patient education by explaining procedures, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient patient care delivery
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
Skills:
- Proficient in performing vital signs measurements accurately
- Knowledge of hospital procedures and protocols
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
- Experience providing medical administrative support in a healthcare setting
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to administer medications safely and accurately
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
