The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and well-organized person to join our Social Sciences faculty in August 2026. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to broaden and deepen our students’ interests in the world through core and elective courses. Your dedication to fostering analytical thinking skills and engagement with sources and historical documents will prepare our students to thrive in academia at the college level.

Responsibilities:
- Teach core courses in New Mexico History and World Geography, as well as semester electives based on your specific interests.
- Work with the Humanities department and other Social Sciences faculty to organize curriculum, content, and course offerings.
- Provide individualized support and timely feedback to promote student success.
- Act as an advisor, guiding students through their school journey.
- Maintain regular communication with families and participate in community events.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field of Social Sciences; Master’s preferred.
- Experience in teaching at the middle or high school level is a plus, but not required.
- Certification in teaching or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., UK Qualified Teacher Status) is desirable.
- A proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative and high-performing educational environment.
