About The Opportunity
The Backup Sheeter Operator is responsible for efficiently operating the sheeter to produce sheets which are uniform and press readyEssential Functions:
Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems
Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, stock specifications, special work instructions, and any other special requirements
Review the schedule and produce sheets in accordance with the requirements indicated on the schedule
Set up the sheeter and keep it running properly
Monitor sheeter throughout the run to maintain sheet uniformity and sheet quality in relation to meeting press ready requirements
Responsible for weekly preventive maintenance
Responsible for sheeter operation and being qualified to operate auxiliary equipment
Must be qualified to operate lift truck equipment
Complete required quality inspections and paperwork
Accurately enter information into the computer system
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
Play an active role in the maintenance and housekeeping of the assigned to the sheeter and surrounding work area
Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Assist with overtime and vacation coverage in pressroom

Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
Ability to effectively work in teams
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Must have good color perception
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent
Shift:
6pm-6am
