Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial tools
- Analyze financial documents and data to ensure completeness and compliance with tax regulations
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate filings
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and explaining complex tax concepts clearly
- Support marketing efforts to attract new clients and promote the firm’s services
- Perform bookkeeping, data entry (including 10 key typing), and analysis tasks as needed
- Collaborate with team members on public accounting projects and corporate accounting tasks
Experience
- Prior experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related financial roles is preferred
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting, and bookkeeping practices
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively
- Demonstrated analysis skills and attention to detail in handling financial data
- Experience in sales or marketing within a financial services environment is a plus
- Knowledge of math fundamentals and 10 key typing proficiency are beneficial for accuracy and efficiency
