Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical cleaning agents safely following proper protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain sanitation standards through regular trash removal, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces to support infection control measures
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored correctly while adhering to chemical handling safety guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings
- English and Spanish speaker
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including window cleaning, floor care, sanitation procedures, and infection control protocols
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while following health regulations
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks
- Familiarity with the use of various cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, and laundry services machines
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly attitude toward team members and visitors
