The essential job responsibilities of the Engineer 4 are to apply advanced level engineering principles necessary to the design and planning of electric substation facilities; evaluate products, ideas and equipment; coordinate departmental work with other departments inside and outside the Division.
QualificationsQualification Requirements:
To perform the Engineer 4 role, you must:
-Have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering; Civil Engineering is preferred.
-Have 6 years' experience in Substation Engineering including application of power apparatus to specific system requirements, basic structural design, analysis of system performance, investigation of malfunctions, supplier transactions and interpretations/applications of codes and standards
-Have a Tennessee Engineer's Professional License
-Have a valid driver's license from state of residence
-Successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job.
Physical Working Conditions:
Works inside majority of time and occasionally outside. Subject to hazards associated with field inspections.
