Position Summary
The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for providing outstanding customer service in a team-based environment by supporting the clinical support staff and providers. The Patient Access Coordinator is a multi-tasking position that requires the individual to be organized and well versed in the insurance industry.

The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for providing outstanding customer service in a team-based environment by supporting the clinical support staff and providers. The Patient Access Coordinator is a multi-tasking position that requires the individual to be organized and well versed in the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Check in/out patients for their appointments. Ensure demographics and forms are up to date in the patient’s chart.
- Check Mail and faxes daily.
- Confirm appointments two days prior to their appointment and follow up with any patients who do not show up for their appointments.
- Handles scheduling and appointments with patients.
- Preregistration of appointments by checking eligibility of insurance and sending out request for referrals and authorizations if needed for insurance purposes.
- Interacts exceptionally well with the referring practices who will be sending patients to our clinic.
- Collects Copays and communicates any balances to the patients.
- Obtains/ Receives Medical Records when needed.
- Scans in Medical Records into the EMR System.
- Maintains a firstclass attitude and is positive by nature.
- Works passionately to deliver a firstclass experience for patients who come to Memory Treatment Centers. Facilitates positive reviews from patients.
- Must be a problem solver, and someone who actively works well with others in the organization.
