Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team within a dynamic healthcare environment, specializing in memory care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of assisted living requirements in a dementia specific community. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong management skills, capable of overseeing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of resident care. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for coordinating care plans, managing documentation, and fostering a collaborative team environment to support both our care giver team and residents' well-being and safety.
Duties
- Lead and supervise nursing staff across various shifts, ensuring effective shift management and staffing levels.
- Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans tailored to residents' needs, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Oversee medical records management using EMR systems, ensuring accurate documentation review and adherence to privacy laws.
- Monitor resident progress through regular assessments, including reviews, to optimize care quality.
- Ensure staff compliance with safety protocols related to medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures.
- Manage regulatory inspections and audits related to nursing administration and ensure all documentation meets state and federal guidelines.
- Provide leadership in staff training, professional development, and ongoing education in areas such as nursing management, supervising experience, and use of clinical systems.
- Maintain effective communication with residents' families, healthcare providers, and external agencies regarding resident status and care updates.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state licensure required; experience in Assisted Living dementia care preferred.
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, care plans, and clinical documentation standards.
- Familiarity with EMR systems as well as regulatory requirements such as DSHS, HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
- Demonstrates ability to manage staff effectively through supervision, coaching, and shift management.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and compliance documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a focus on resident-centered care.
- Exceptional leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to foster a positive work environment. Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
