Position Summary
This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with our core values: Integrity, Accountability, Best Practices, Compassion and Synergy. The employee shall support Saddleback Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities. The GI Lab Technician works under the direction of the Registered Nurse and physician. This position is responsible for supporting the GI Lab Department to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. The GI Lab Technician maintains smooth, effective communication and collaboration between healthcare practitioners, departments and patients. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to: management and maintenance of instruments and equipment, data collection, advanced knowledge of diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, and is accountable for patient transfer and discharge flow processes. This position must meet call requirement and able to be cross trained to the Pre-op Unit.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
