Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a High School Mathematics Teacher at Memorial Private School, located in Houston, TX. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons, including algebra and other core mathematical concepts, for high school students. Responsibilities include developing and implementing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, fostering critical thinking skills, and maintaining a collaborative and inclusive learning environment. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities and participate in school community activities as applicable.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge in Mathematics, including Algebra
- Proven ability in Lesson Planning and classroom instruction
- Experience teaching middle or high school students with varied learning needs
- Effective Communication skills for student engagement and working with parents and colleagues
- Prior teaching experience and a valid teaching certification in mathematics education are highly desirable
- A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Ability to foster a positive learning environment and encourage active participation
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners, including gifted and neurodiverse students
