JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Mechanic / Groundskeeper’s primary responsibility will be to maintain sidewalks, parking, building exteriors, MHSC vehicles and grounds areas of the MHSC campus and off campus properties in all four seasons. Maintain all grounds equipment and tools as required. Assist maintenance or other hospital departments with tasks requiring physical strength or knowledge common to the position. Perform work orders and preventative maintenance tasks as defined by the hospital’s management software (TMS Online). In addition, the Maintenance Mechanic / Groundskeeper will participate in the maintenance of all buildings, building systems, and associated equipment for the MHSC campus, clinics and apartment properties, as so directed. Also responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of the facilities. Assist with equipment mechanics. Seasonal on-call is likely.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. One year experience in general grounds keeping functions is desirable.
Job Knowledge and Skills:
Must be able to read, interpret, and understand both oral and written instructions. Must have the ability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift. Must be able to withstand varying weather conditions and have a general knowledge of the operation and repair of grounds keeping equipment. Maintenance Mechanic / Groundskeepers must possess a valid Wyoming driver’s license.
