The Receptionist/Medical Assistant (MA) – supports safe, efficient, patient-centered care by performing both front-office reception and clinical medical-assistant duties in the outpatient setting. This position serves as a primary point of contact for patients, families, visitors, providers, and staff; provides prompt, courteous telephone and in-person service; supports patient registration, scheduling, payments, referrals, and clinic flow; and performs clinical duties within scope under the direction of licensed providers and clinic leadership. The Receptionist/MA rooms patients, obtains and documents vital signs and relevant histories, assists with examinations and minor procedures, performs ordered point-of-care testing and specimen collection, administers medications as delegated and permitted by policy, and provides patient education as directed. The position maintains accurate documentation, protects patient privacy, supports a clean and organized clinic environment, and follows all organizational safety, emergency, infection-prevention, and customer-service standards.
