What are the responsibilities and job description for the PURCHASER position at MEMORIAL HOSPITAL OF CARBON COUNTY?
This position Is responsible for competency in the ordering, distribution, decontamination, and storage of equipment and supplies. They will also ensure that supplies are maintained according to established guidelines, and monitor usage to determine need for a change in established lever.
- Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses
- Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services
- Receive and deliver all supplies, restock and replenish as needed.
- Rotates and maintains supplies in all departments of the organization.
- Maintain an adequate amounts of sterile and non-sterile items on the shelves at all times.
- Rotate sterile supplies as necessary.
- Perform data entry of recipes for inventory and non-inventory items.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Position Requirements (Minimum qualifications for the position)
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Driver’s License Required
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Experience: Previous supply chain experienced preferred
