The Security Officer is responsible for providing security for patients, visitors, and staff, as well as for the organization's buildings, assets, and properties to protect against theft and vandalism.
- Responds to security assistance and escort calls, completing necessary call logging, and completion of appropriate documentation
- Investigates possible security instances, compiling relevant information, interviewing witnesses, and completing written reports
- Conducts safety checks of assigned areas, completing appropriate forms and reporting significant findings to leadership
Required Education: High school graduate or GED
Required Certification/License: Must complete a certification course with the international association of Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) within twelve months of hire date and have and maintain a valid MS driver's license.
