Material Operations Manager - SPD - Days - FT

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Logistical Services, the Material Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Materials used throughout Memorial Health System in Surgical and Procedural areas.

• Oversee and support Material Management activities and staff ensuring a smooth customer focused experience
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve overall Material operations
  • Manage day to day activities involving Recalls and Recommendations by governing bodies
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, standardization and utilization of supplies and equipment in designated areas of responsibility
  • Introduction and management of Material Inventory systems
• Plan appropriate steps and action plans to achieve departmental and organizational strategic goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance of Occupational Health and Safety and a safe workplace for all
  • Monitor and oversee Vendor activities in designated areas of responsibility
  • Identify and manage continuous improvement projects
  • Resolve any arising problems and escalating issues as required
  • As required provide support in solving day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Apply supply chain best practices to actively identify, analyze, and recommend quick win opportunities both internal and external to MHS
• Engage with stakeholders to identify, scope, plan, and execute improvement initiatives
  • Assist in solution design and analytical support for supply chain activities
  • Provide support to the Director of Supply Chains and Logistical Service as needed

Education:

• Required: High School or GED
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in business or related field

Experience:

• Required: 5 years experience Managing equipment, implants, contracts, trials, utilization reporting and billing for surgical and procedural areas as related to Materials Management and Supply Chain operations
• Preferred: 10 years experience in Healthcare materials management role or related area
