The Human Resources Representative I is responsible for assisting in Human Resources processes and procedures. The HR Representative participates in administrative processes and prioritizes and responds to business matters involving administrative functions associated with department operations. The Representative creates and maintains associated documents, spreadsheets, databases, meetings, and special events; and alerts supervisor of critical issues and upcoming events.
- Assists Human Resources in the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
- Posts requisitions received in accordance with established policies and job descriptions
- Assists with the review of applications and routes to hiring leaders in accordance with job requirements
- Supports in the preparation and scheduling of new hires interviews and orientation, employee offboarding activities, and appropriate documentation
- Administers the identification badging and record keeping program, including necessary authorizations, security changes and terminations
- Ensures candidates successfully complete finger printing, drug screening requirements and transmits information appropriately for criminal identification purposes
- Receives and validates completion of employee evaluation documentation
- Participates in the administrative activities of Human Resources
- Responds to routine requests for information and assistance and escalates complex issues
- Screens and prioritizes incoming calls; researches information to answer questions, escalates problems or issues as necessary
- Composes and prepares communication of a routine nature from verbal direction, or from knowledge of policy and procedure, as directed
- Responsible for gathering and submitting data requested for administrative reporting
- Receives employee information and completes necessary scanning of documentation into the electronic filing systems, ensuring completion of HR filing requirements
- Assists with initiating full range of employment actions such as new employee department orientation; time keeping, and explanations of policies and procedures
- Makes necessary travel arrangements for the assigned areas, including registration for seminars/workshops/events and filing expense reports per policy
- Assists with scheduling meetings by coordinating schedules and reserving rooms
- Monitors the usage of office supplies and equipment for the department
- Tracks office supply inventory and assists with obtaining quotes and the purchasing of special equipment or inventory for the department
- Assists with the processing of routine monthly invoices and payments
- Supports special projects and functions of the Human Resources department
- Assists with special projects within identified deadlines within well-structured parameters and detailed directions
- Assists with organizing and coordinating events which may include creating timelines; collecting agenda items and background materials; creating registrant profiles;
- May assist with preparing and coordinating annual events, conferences and meetings; verifying invoices and expense reports to established budget
Education:
- Required: High School or GED
- Preferred: Associate's degree in human resources, Business, or other area directly related to this position
Experience:
- Required: Some experience in an administrative or customer service role
- Preferred: 1 (one) year of direct experience in Human Resources, with experience in an administrative or customer service role
