What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician - Woodland Nursing Center - Days - PRN position at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport?
The Floor Technician performs daily floor care, cleaning, buffing and refinishing floors, cleaning carpets, shower rooms, and performing housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Maintains the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of designated floor areas
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining carpet and hard surface floors
- Performs stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning of hard surface flooring
- Shampoos, extracts, and spots carpeted floor surfaces
- Responsible for the proper use, care, maintenance and storage of environmental services equipment, tools, and materials according to protocol
- Report requests for repairs to supervisor or maintenance
- Participates as a member of the team to achieve business goals, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction
- Provides assistance to team members as requested or required
- Regular and timely attendance is required for this job
- Participates on committees/councils and performance improvement activities as requested/required
- Successful completion of probation and annual skills/competency requirements
- Practices within legal, ethical, and professional boundaries
- Maintains expertise in the area
