- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage all operations of the ICU, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Supervise nursing and clinical staff, providing mentorship and fostering professional development
- Collaborate with other departments to promote interdisciplinary teamwork and comprehensive patient care
- Quality Assurance and Standards
- Develop and implement protocols and standards of care to ensure the highest level of patient safety and quality
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction metrics
- Stay updated on best practices and current trends in critical care medicine
- Strategic Planning
- Assist in the development and execution of operational plans that align with the organization's goals
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead quality enhancement initiatives
- Participate in hospital-wide committees and initiatives to promote the ICU's interests
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure ICU operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Prepare for and participate in accreditation surveys and audits
- Clinical and Educational Oversight
- Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance patient care strategies and protocols
- Facilitate ongoing education and training programs for ICU staff, including onboarding for new hires
- Conduct or support research initiatives to advance critical care practices
Education: Bachelor's Degree graduate of a nursing program
Education: Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
