Job Description
The Safety Compliance Officer manages the Physical Environment Plans and Incident (Patient Safety Events) Reporting to ensure that all elements are addressed as well as keep record of all pertinent documentation. He/She will monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. Focuses on prevention and need to be diligent, analytical and support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace. Safety Compliance Officer provides guidance in the administration and implementation of the physical safety and patient safety program; coordinates safety activities with other departments; and provides administrative and technical advice to supervisors and employees to ensure safety control mechanisms are in place. Ensures compliance with all Federal and State safety laws, regulations as well as safety procedures and processes. Ensures compliance with all Federal and State safety laws and regulations as well as safety procedures and processes. This position reports directly to the Director of Quality & Risk Management.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or Bachelor preferably in the field of healthcare and safety or a related field of Organizational Management, Safety and/or Quality Engineering as it relates to project management. Demonstrate a background in business skills, management, project management, process improvement and analysis. Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and practice. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management. Lean Six Sigma Certification or knowledge is recommended.
Experience
2 years’ working in healthcare organization. 2-3 years’ of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role is recommended.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $74,880.00 - $83,200.00 per year
