Job Summary

Position is responsible for facilitating the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors as assigned and coordinating appropriate fundraising endeavors. Such endeavors may include special/community awareness events, prospect research and donor acquisition programs, and/or targeted grateful patient program. Typically reports to a Director level or above.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:  

Bachelors degree in Business or related field, in lieu of degree a minimum of four (4) years related experience is accepted.

Licenses/Certifications:  (None)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • One (1) year of customer service, social services, education, community work, fund raising, event planning/ coordination or related experience required.

  • Fundraising database management experience, preferably with Raiser’s Edge, Omatic and Crystal Reporting highly desired.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and organizational skills to execute multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills  with ability to interact with senior management, board members, and other high level volunteers, donors, and prospects.
  • Ability to use personal computer and related software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Coordinates donor identification, recognition and/or cultivation events for Memorial Hermann Foundation.
  • Performs fundraising activities, internal and external, as appropriate for area of specialization (i.e., special events, or annual giving and major gifts.)
  • Provides information that assists development officers in the development of strategies for potential campaign donors. Assists in grant/proposal writing as appropriate.
  • Serves as a resource to development officers in support of special events such as public awareness/education events, donor cultivation and recognition. Plans and produces more complex events as appropriate.
  • Prepares concise written reports on individuals, corporations, foundations, stewardship and/or special event coordination utilizing methodologies specific to area of specialization for purposes of donor solicitation.
  • Analyzes summary reports to assess results.
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of related budgets.
  • Interacts closely with Memorial Hermann employees, volunteers, board members and/or other leaders.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary : $57,200 - $72,500
