Are you an experienced RN who is ready and interested in expanding or pivoting your career into any of the following specialty areas? Specialty Areas - Critical Care Services, Emergency Services, Surgical Services, IR, Oncology, Cath Lab, Behavioral Health, Pediatric Services (NICU, PICU, Peds ED, Peds OR, Peds PACU, Peds CVOR), Nursery, Family Birth Place, Case Management and Wound Care Additionally, and please take note of the minimum requirements, Case Manager, RN: Minimum Education BSN along with, minimum one (1) year of Acute Care Experience and Nurse Clinical Educator - Minimum Education BSN along with, two (2) years minimum of Acute Care Experience. Please note that all positions require a valid BLS and ACLS, from wither the America Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Program benefits - specialty classroom training, simulation experience, hands-on practice in the clinical environment, and bi-monthly seminars focused on professional growth, evidenced based practices and leadership. Summary:
Provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
Detailed responsibilities:
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and, or psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of the patient and, or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Required Work Experience: One (1) year of nursing experience required.

•• Department specific credentials - See below-@@ONCC Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certificate Required for those RN's administering chemotherapy.@@APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider card required within 12 months of hire for those RN's administering chemotherapy for oncologic indication within the pediatric setting.@@Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas.@@PALS required for Pediatric areas with the exception of NICU.- if RN is coming from a non-pediatric background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain PALS.@@NRP certification required for NICU if RN is coming from a non NICU background, they have 30 days from date of hire to obtain NRP.@@Certification in Fetal Monitoring through National Credential Center or through AWOHNN (Intermediate or Advanced) for L&D RN's must be completed prior to completion of job orientation.RN Fellowship specialties require one (1) year RN work experience with the exception of the Refresh to Acute Care track.Newly licensed RNs have six (6) months to obtain ACLS and, or PALS.Note: For added clarification, see Mandatory Education Requirements Grid.
