What are the responsibilities and job description for the PULMONOLOGY ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER position at Memorial Healthcare System Physician and Provider Careers?
Memorial Healthcare System’s Division of Pulmonology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. The Division provides holistic and individualized care for a range of acute and chronic lung and sleep-related disorders. Our services include consultative and ongoing care, interpretation of pulmonary function testing, evaluation of chest imaging, and sleep related testing. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting lung screenings, managing follow-up appointments, developing a comprehensive smoking cessation program, organizing the management of abnormal findings, exploring treatment options, and initiating clinical workups. This includes ordering imaging and lab tests, as well as managing and tracking results. The provider will also have intermittent inpatient rounding responsibilities.
Nurse Practitioner candidates must have a national Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification. Physician Assistant candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are five (5) days per week, 8 AM – 5 PM with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. This is a full-time employed position that offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
