What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARDIAC CRITICAL CARE ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER position at Memorial Healthcare System Physician and Provider Careers?
The Cardiac & Vascular Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing team. The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of cardiovascular intensivists to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in a high-volume CVICU. Responsibilities will include conducting new patient consultations from the Emergency Department, inpatient units, and operating room, and performing bedside procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for cardiovascular surgery patients and patients with mechanical support devices inclusive of ECMO, in a critical care setting as an Advanced Practice Provider. Candidates must have a national Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification, or Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and a Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are 12-hour flex shifts (days and nights). This is a full-time, employed position that offers competitive benefits and compensation package that are commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
