Memorial Transplant Institute at Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a dynamic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its team. Memorial Transplant Institute is a growing UNOS-approved program rated 1 in Florida for kidney outcomes for 1-year survival. The selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of exceptional providers to guide patients through every facet of transplant care. Responsibilities will include coverage of inpatient services for the kidney-pancreas program, management of kidney and pancreas transplant recipients, and end-stage renal disease patients. Nurse Practitioner candidates must have a national Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP). Physician Assistant candidates must have a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or Master’s equivalent) from an ARC-PA accredited program and possess a Physician Assistant Certification. A BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross and Florida license must be obtained by date of hire.
Schedule requirements are 6PM – 6 AM, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits and a compensation package based on experience and training. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

In 2017, with federal approval from UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing), Memorial Transplant Institute launched the adult kidney transplant program with pediatric transplant capabilities at Memorial Regional Hospital and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, FL. The Institute established a living donor kidney recovery component, including open and laparoscopic nephrectomies. The program offers cadaveric and living donor kidney transplants as well as pancreas transplantation.
