DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of the Activity Direct, the Assistant Activity Aide will assist in the planning, coordinating, and implementing therapeutic activity programs on a daily basis to meet the individual resident's needs and interests.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a thorough knowledge of various resident activities and have familiarity with resident limitations and needs. Must have sincere desire to work with the elderly. Must have a general understanding of the social, psychological and recreational needs of the aged as well as other types of residents in the home. Must have patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and be able to handle all residents at whatever level they are currently functioning. Must be able to work in close cooperation with the Activity Director, accept and utilize constructive criticism, and display initiative to complete activity related tasks and programs.
