What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Specialist | Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) | Full-Time, Benefits Eligible position at Memorial Health Ohio?
We are looking for a Scheduling Specialist to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team! In this position, you will have the opportunity to learn how to do the clerical pieces of patient care to better support the patient’s experience.
In this role you will:
- Review referrals prior to scheduling, prioritizing based on surgery schedule dates.
- Answer incoming phone calls and record messages.
- Schedule patients by gathering/verifying all necessary information for the medical record.
- Appropriately documenting communication with patients and updates referrals within the work queue.

What You'll Bring/Requirements:
- Completion of a high school education or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 6 months of clerical experience in a healthcare setting, filing, and retrieval methods
- General medical office/practice experience
- Coding experience and/or an Associates Degree in medical secretarial sciences or related field preferred
