The Role

Serves as the primary commercial owner across assigned national accounts, responsible for driving revenue, profitability, and best-in-class retail execution across the MBX portfolio.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, retailer fluency, analytical rigor, and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable business results.

This position plays a critical role in scaling MBX’s U.S. business, strengthening retailer partnerships, and driving sustainable sell-through growth across both mass and prestige channels.

Key ResponsibilitiesRetail Strategy & Account Leadership
  • Own and lead end-to-end retail strategy across assigned national accounts (Including, but not limited to Target, Walgreens, CVS)
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with retail buyers and partners
  • Develop and execute annual and seasonal account plans, aligning brand and commercial priorities
  • Lead:
  • Line reviews
  • Assortment strategy
  • New product launches
  • Identify and unlock new distribution, category expansion, and growth opportunities
Commercial Performance & P&L Management
  • Own full account-level P&L, including:
  • Revenue
  • Gross margin
  • Trade and promotional investment
  • Develop and manage accurate rolling forecasts (sell-in and net revenue)
  • Evaluate and optimize:
  • Promotional ROI
  • Pricing and trade strategies
  • Partner with Finance and Supply Chain to ensure profitable, scalable growth
Forecasting, Inventory & Operational Excellence
  • Lead forecasting across all assigned accounts
  • Monitor:
  • Sell-through performance
  • SKU productivity
  • Inventory health
  • Partner with Supply Chain to:
  • Optimize inventory allocation
  • Minimize stockouts and excess
  • Ensure retailer service levels are met
  • Complete a monthly forecasting process
  • Drive decisions on:
  • Assortment updates
  • Discontinuations
  • Exit strategies
Sell-Through & Retail Performance
  • Own sell-through performance and conversion across retail channels
  • Partner closely with Retail Marketing to:
  • Align campaigns with retail priorities
  • Improve in-store and online conversion
  • Maximize visibility during key moments
  • Ensure alignment between marketing activation and commercial goals
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as point person for assigned accounts across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain
  • Drive alignment across:
  • Launch timelines
  • Retail calendars
  • Inventory and demand planning
  • Lead communication and coordination with MBX Korea and external partners
  • Manage broker and third-party relationships where applicable
Analytics & Business Insights
  • Analyze:
  • Sales performance
  • Retail trends
  • Competitive landscape
  • Identify risks and opportunities across accounts
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable commercial strategies
  • Support executive-level reporting and business reviews
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5–10 years in Sales, Account Management, or Commercial roles within beauty, personal care, or CPG
  • Retail Expertise: Proven experience managing major national accounts (Target strongly preferred; Ulta/Sephora a plus)
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L management, forecasting, and trade investment
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis; comfortable working with POS and forecasting tools
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
  • Communication: Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Execution: Highly organized with strong operational discipline
  • Location: Los Angeles (Hybrid — 4 days in-office)
  • Travel: Occasional travel for retailer meetings and key milestones

Benefits & Compensation

Benchmark Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000 base salary annually, commensurate with experience. Total compensation may include performance-based bonus and other incentives.
