Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy education, early intervention, and childhood development.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among toddlers.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Support children with special education needs by adapting activities and providing individualized attention to foster inclusive learning experiences.
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and guardians to share progress updates and collaborate on each child's developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behavioral observations in compliance with childcare standards.
- Facilitate activities that promote physical education, motor skills development, and basic math concepts suitable for toddlers.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori methods and preschool experience.
- Proven experience working with children in daycare or private school settings, with an emphasis on toddler care.
- Expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored to early learners.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively while fostering a positive classroom environment.
- Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children confidently.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessment when applicable.
- Experience in teaching physical education activities and promoting child welfare within a daycare or preschool setting.
