Role:
To direct and schedule resources needed to meet the paying and receiving needs of the credit union.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 50% Schedules and monitors daily activities of tellers.
E 30% Hires, trains, directs, and evaluates employee performance within the department; recommends promotions, transfers and salary adjustments; identifies performance problems and takes action to correct, including termination.
E 10% Monitors department activities for compliance with established policy and regulations. Takes action to resolve any out of compliance issues.
E 5% Orders daily cash requirement for the credit union. Manages vault cash.
N 5% Performs other related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
1. To meet the minimum established individual goals each month.
2. To maintain a delinquency rate at or below .X% of loan portfolio.
3. To insure all approved loans comply with established loan standards and have zero errors.
4. To sell assigned volume of credit union products and services.
5. To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers.
6. To demonstrate a working knowledge of all mortgage products and rates, both within the credit union and from the industry overall.
7. To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
8. To troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills: Must have good communication skills for training other tellers. 10-key calculator and computer keyboard skills. Accurate with numbers and names.
