What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Servicing Specialist position at Members Trust of the Southwest Federal Credit Union?
Role:
The Loan Servicing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the maintenance of all loans. The Loan Servicing Specialist routinely interacts with individuals across the organization including loan officers, loan processors, member service representatives, management. The Loan Servicing Specialist will perform quality reviews, prepare reports and functions as a card specialist.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
E 25% Performs all tasks associated with card services
E 20% Reviews the set-up of new and renewed loan files to ensure the loans are set up properly on the loan servicing system and trailing documents are received
E 15% Performs Collateral and Insurance tracking of the portfolio
E 15% Performs Mortgage Servicing tasks, including reporting and remittances
E 10% Perform loan maintenance as requested
E 5% Complete escrow analysis and related processes to assure accurate and on time payments of insurance and taxes.
E 5% Process payoff statements, receive payoff funds and prepare release of liens.
E 5% Perform all aspects of participation processing
Performance Measurements:
1. Respond to member, third party and team members’ requests within appropriate timelines with professionalism and courtesy.
2. Complete payoff processing, including lien releases within appropriate time frames.
3. Complete Escrow Analysis and escrow payments when appropriate.
4. Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education
A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
Must have good communication, computer and technological skills.
