Position Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the credit union branch, ensuring exceptional member service, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role involves leading and developing a motivated, well-trained team, managing branch performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and service excellence. The Branch Manager will implement and monitor branch budgets, evaluate staff performance, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for maintaining branch security, conducting loan interviews, and promoting a cross-selling environment to support the credit union’s growth and profitability. This position requires a proactive leader who can solve complex member issues, drive sales, and maintain a high standard of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, ensuring effective employee relations.
· Implement and monitor the budget for the branch.
· Apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.
· Evaluate the job performance of branch office staff to ensure quality of work and service to members.
· Monitor branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, and new accounts.
· Monitor key products and sales within the branch to ensure profitable and sound business practices and a high quality of services for members.
· Manage the security and safety of the branch. Examine and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis.
· Ensure that staff receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures.
· Schedule adequate staff to ensure efficient branch operation.
· Conduct loan interviews. Process, approve, and/or close loans.
· Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach.
· Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems.
· Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
· Proven experience in branch operations, customer service, and financial product sales.

- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to meet branch goals.
- Knowledge of credit union products, services, and regulatory requirements.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with financial software and systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (PC, copier, scanner, etc.).
- Understanding of and adherence to federal and state regulations
- Experience in audit procedures and maintaining dual control and security protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and sitting for extended periods.

Pay: $60,362.00 - $64,865.00 per year
