Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems including Shingle & metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and other materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and fasten roofing components.
- Set up scaffolding, ladders, and safety harnesses while adhering strictly to construction safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, insulation, and framing components.
- Support siding installation, stucco application, masonry work, and other exterior building tasks as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols including the use of fall protection equipment like safety harnesses and proper ladder use.
- Assist with framing carpentry, trim carpentry, caulking, and other handyman tasks related to roofing projects.
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools and debris removal to promote a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous construction experience preferred; familiarity with roofing or exterior building trades is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of safety harnesses is highly desirable.
- Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions enhances your ability to perform consistently.
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, or construction plans for accurate project execution.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques is advantageous.
- Background in masonry, remodeling, tile laying or carpentry can provide a strong foundation for success in this role.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and efficiently while maintaining adherence to safety protocols is essential.
