Position Overview: Melum Masonry is looking for an experienced Field Mason to join our team. This is a skilled, hands-on position for someone with proven experience in residential masonry construction and restoration. We're looking for a mason who can work independently, produce quality work with minimal supervision, and contribute to a productive, professional crew. This is not an entry-level position.
Our projects include a variety of residential masonry work, giving you the opportunity to work on everything from custom stone veneer to brick repair and structural block work. ---
Responsibilities May Include:
- Installation of manufactured and natural stone veneer
- Brick and block laying
- Tuckpointing and masonry restoration
- Foundation and retaining wall construction and repair
- Stone fireplace surrounds and custom masonry features
- Reading plans and following layout established by the Project Lead
- Maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Keeping jobsites clean, organized, and safe
- Working efficiently with the crew to complete projects on schedule
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of hands-on masonry experience (preferred)
- Experience with stone veneer, brick, and block work
- Strong understanding of proper masonry techniques and installation methods
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
- Pride in producing clean, high-quality workmanship
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
