About the Role
This is a full-time on-site Estimator role located in Landover, MD. We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Estimator to join our team. The Construction Project Estimator will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Construction Estimating, Project Management, and Cost Control.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to accurately estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with the construction management team to develop comprehensive project bids.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
- Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction process.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project budgets and cost projections.
- Conduct on-site visits to construction sites to assess progress and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Construction Estimating is a MUST, including a strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Proficiency in Timberline, RSMEANS, or 4Clicks software for estimating purposes.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
