What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook / BBQ Cook – Sweet Chuck’s BBQ (Parkville Market) position at Meltdown Grill?
Sweet Chuck’s BBQ is looking for a dependable and hardworking line cook to join our fast-paced smokehouse team inside Parkville Market. We serve Texas-style BBQ, smoked meats, sliders, loaded mac bowls, wings, and sides in a high-volume open kitchen environment.
We are looking for someone who can move with urgency, stay organized, communicate well, and take pride in consistent food quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble BBQ menu items during service
- Slice and chop brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and ribs
- Work POS, fryer, prep stations, sandwich station, and food assembly
- Maintain portioning, quality, and presentation standards
- Complete prep work including proteins, sauces, sides, and setup
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Keep stations clean, stocked, and organized throughout shift
- Assist with opening and closing duties
Qualifications:
- 1 year kitchen or line cook experience preferred
- BBQ or high-volume kitchen experience is a plus
- Ability to work quickly under pressure
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
- Weekend availability required
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
