Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and courier vehicles with manual transmission to deliver packages across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Plan efficient routes to maximize delivery speed and accuracy while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging professionally with recipients, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately in logs or digital systems
- Assist with warehouse tasks including receiving shipments, organizing inventory, and preparing packages for dispatch
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving expertise in a commercial setting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of local roads, traffic laws, and navigation tools to optimize delivery routes
- Ability to lift heavy packages frequently and perform physical tasks such as moving boxes or equipment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Experience with warehouse operations including loading/unloading cargo, forklift operation, or pallet jack use is a plus
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and safety procedures related to heavy lifting and moving tasks
