Melt Box Ice Cream is a locally owned ice cream company based in Kansas City, operating three food truck–style ice cream trucks along with a storefront in North Kansas City. We’re looking for energetic, dependable team members to join us for our busy season!
This is a primarily seasonal, part-time position, with the majority of hours available from April through November. Typical schedules range from 15–30 hours per week, with occasional opportunities for full-time hours during peak periods. Consistent full-time work may become available over time based on performance.

Food service experience is preferred, but not required—we’re happy to train the right person.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Comfortable driving a food truck
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends (Friday–Sunday) and some holidays
- Ability to work alone at times without direct supervision
- Ability to work on feet for most of shift. This is an active job!
What You’ll Do:
- Prep and stock the truck and storefront for service
- Drive the truck to and from event and service locations
- Scoop, top, and serve ice cream
- Take orders and operate the register
- Provide friendly, engaging customer service
- Clean and maintain the truck and work areas
- Occasionally work shifts at our North Kansas City storefront
- Collaborate with team members to keep operations running smoothly
