Hours: Part-Time /32 hours a week, 3:00pm-11:00pm, includes every other weekend and holiday rotation requirement. Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA) or Emergency Medical System (EMS) certification. 2. Previous patient care experience in a hospital or nursing home Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Observes patient at all times to ensure patient safety including activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, toileting, ambulation. 2. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide the appropriate care to this patient population based on the patients individualized treatment plan as delegated by clinical staff. 3. Provides patient with explanations as necessary, but does not counsel or provide opinions. Demonstrates behaviors in line with Service Excellence. May verbally direct patients digital 2-way audio device that is in patient room. 4. Participates in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues. Assures patient environment safety. Seeks help or advice as soon as possible when patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others. In some cases, may need to immediately summon clinical staff if the patient requires assistance or assistance with removal of any potential safety hazard from room. 5. Accompanies patient off unit to any scheduled appointments or tests. 6. Documents behaviors and events according to hospital policy and procedures, either on paper or electronically.
