Position: Full-Time
Melrose Umbrella Co. is a high-volume cocktail bar and restaurant known for elevated comfort food, craft cocktails, and exceptional hospitality. We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Executive Chef to lead our kitchen, mentor our team, and help grow our culinary program.
This is not an office position. We are looking for a chef who leads from the line, works alongside the team during service, and sets the standard through action.
Responsibilities-
Lead all back-of-house operations and kitchen staff.

Work on the line during service and assist with prep as needed.

Develop seasonal menus, weekly specials, and private event menus.

Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.

Manage food cost, labor, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.

Build recipes, prep systems, pars, and kitchen SOPs.

Hire, train, coach, and develop BOH team members.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Collaborate with ownership and management to improve operations and execute private events.

Foster a positive, accountable, and professional kitchen culture.

Minimum of 5 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant.

Proven experience managing food cost, labor, and inventory.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Experience creating and costing menus.

Highly organized with excellent time-management skills.

Ability to remain calm and lead during busy services.

ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain one).

A hands-on leader who enjoys being on the line with the team.
