What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agricultural Equipment Operator position at Melon Direct?
We farm 800 acres of corn and 1,500 acres of soybeans. We also farm 150 acres of watermelons, 50 acres of sweet corn, and 50 acres of butterbeans. Employees will be expected to operate a high boy sprayer, calculate and measure correct chemicals needed, drive a tractor pulling a planter, operate a spray bus, operate a bus hauling watermelons, plow fertilizer to crops, disc, operate a tractor with a grain cart and possibly operate a combine. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.
