Duties
- Implement behavioral therapy plans tailored to each individual's needs, focusing on skill acquisition and behavior reduction.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, eating, and other essential self-care tasks.
- Collect and record data meticulously during sessions to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment strategies.
- Support teaching sessions that promote communication, social skills, and functional independence using evidence-based techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans, progress notes, and behavioral records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to adapt interventions based on client responses and data analysis.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages growth, patience, and respect for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, including applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices and patient care protocols.
- Ability to accurately collect data and maintain detailed medical records in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to behavioral health and developmental disorders.
- Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
