Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques to maintain a polished appearance.
- Handle cleaning tasks across multiple surfaces including carpets, tiles, and hard floors using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, polishers, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
- Apply floor cleaning chemicals responsibly, ensuring proper handling and environmental safety standards are met.
- Conduct manual handling of heavy cleaning equipment and supplies, adhering to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas with attention to detail.
- Support environmental services initiatives by managing waste disposal and ensuring eco-friendly cleaning practices are followed.
- Assist with janitorial duties as needed to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules promptly and effectively.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks comply with health and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service to building occupants.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred, demonstrating familiarity with various cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Experience in floor care including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of chemical agents used in commercial cleaning environments along with proper handling procedures.
- Proven ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including lifting heavy objects and operating heavy-duty cleaning machinery.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with environmental services practices that promote sustainability in cleaning operations.
