This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who thrives on bringing structure, discipline, and modern supply chain practices into an operation that is ready for its next level of performance.If you’re a builder—someone who enjoys creating order from complexity, implementing systems, and holding teams accountable—this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.What You’ll Be Responsible ForWarehouse & Transportation OperationsLead day-to-day warehouse operations and a small fleet/driver team, ensuring safety, accuracy, and productivity.Manage labor scheduling and daily workload planning.Own inventory accuracy through cycle counting, reconciliation, and system discipline.Oversee transportation logistics including routing, carrier relationships, and freight cost control.KPI-Driven Performance & AccountabilityDesign and implement meaningful KPIs across warehouse and transportation functions.Build daily, weekly, and monthly dashboards to measure performance and identify improvement opportunities.Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable through clear expectations, feedback, and performance reviews.Systems & Process TransformationHelp transition operations from manual/visual tools (whiteboards, clipboards) to a system-driven ERP/WMS environment.Develop, document, and enforce SOPs for receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and dispatch.Drive consistency, repeatability, and scalability across all workflows.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and schedule warehouse associates and drivers.Establish a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and strong housekeeping standards.Identify training needs and develop team capabilities to support growth and efficiency.Financial & Resource ManagementManage the warehouse and transportation operating budget.Analyze labor, freight, and operational costs to identify savings and efficiency gains.Ensure effective use of space, equipment, and personnel.What We’re Looking For7 years of progressive warehouse and transportation leadership experience, ideally in distribution, 3PL, or military environments.Proven experience managing operations through an ERP or WMS system.Strong track record of creating and using KPIs to drive measurable improvements in accuracy, productivity, and cost.Solid knowledge of transportation logistics, routing, DOT compliance, and carrier management.A leader who is:Comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working alongside the teamDirect, fair, and respectful when holding people accountableA systems-thinker who understands the end-to-end supply chainMotivated by building structure and discipline that lastsWhy This Role Stands OutHigh level of ownership and autonomyOpportunity to modernize and professionalize operationsVisible impact on performance, cost, and cultureLeadership role in a growing, operationally complex business
