Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Delivery & Inventory Specialist to manage and coordinate home delivery operations in compliance with Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) regulations. This role will also support the Mello dispensary inventory management by prepping and fulfilling customer orders, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring seamless execution of daily deliveries through a third-party delivery partner. This is a hybrid operations role requiring strong organization, communication, and compliance awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Coordination & Oversight
- Organize and manage daily home delivery operations using a third-party licensed
delivery partner.
- Prepare and fulfill customer delivery orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain the delivery calendar and ensure scheduled deliveries align with driver
availability and compliance hours.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the dispensary and third-party delivery drivers.
- Verify customer delivery information, including ID and age requirements per state law.
- Ensure proper manifest generation, METRC logging, and compliant transport packaging of all deliveries.
Inventory Management
- Receive, store, and organize all incoming cannabis and non-cannabis product inventory.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory counts in POS and METRC systems.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and restocking of front-of-house
fulfillment shelves.
- Collaborate with Inventory Manager & AGM to track discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting.
Order Fulfillment & Packaging
- Pick and pack online and in-store customer orders accurately and according to SOPs.
- Label products and packages per CCC guidelines.
- Ensure all packages meet secure and compliant transport standards before hand-off to delivery drivers.
Schedule & Workflow Management
- Manage the day-to-day delivery calendar, balancing order volume and delivery windows.
- Coordinate with the dispensary and delivery partner to resolve any delays, failed
deliveries, or customer concerns.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot workflow inefficiencies or delivery issues.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 year's experience in cannabis retail, logistics, inventory, or delivery coordination
preferred.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts cannabis regulations, especially related to delivery and inventory.
- Strong understanding of Dutchie, METRC, and inventory tracking tools.
- Excellent communication and organization skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced
setting.
- Basic computer skills (Google Workspace, spreadsheets, delivery management tools).
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Must be 21 and able to pass CORI/background check as required by MA law.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 per week
