Mellano & Company is seeking a Sales Representative for our location in Carlsbad CA, that would be responsible for building strong customer relations, through knowledge and excellent customer service. Plan and carry out all sales activities including entering sales into the POS, achieve sales goals, and take on new responsibilities as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide excellent service to existing and new customers, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and prioritizing daily based on customers' requests. Work well in a team effort in addition to working independently. Goal-oriented and results-driven.
- Make daily sales calls to potential and existing customers
- Develop sales proposals / Strategic and tactical plans
- Maintain customer accounts by taking orders, running credit information, and issuing credits.
- Remain competitive to maintain consistent growth and reach the company and personal sales goals.
- Collaborate with the location manager to strategist sales action plan for new and existing business
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships, follow up on sales activity
- Resolve customer complaints
- Product knowledge to help ensure exceptional customer service
- Enter sales into the POS system and completing the transactions
- Perform other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Floral Experience
- Experience in Sales with the ability to meet sales and profit expectations
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets
- Computer Skills and Knowledge of software applications, including using a POS register.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish Preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in an office, cooler, and warehouse setting.
- Wear a face covering
- Lifting and or pushing of up to 50-lbs on occasion.
- Able to climb and descend stairs and walk on uneven ground.
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
