Position Summary

The Part-Time Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for Melitta North America, Inc. This position ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, while maintaining extreme confidentiality and integrity of employee and payroll data. The role requires a minimum of five years hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and strong attention to detail to support payroll operations across multiple locations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for multiple pay cycles, including semi-monthly and biweekly using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review and verify employee timecards, pay adjustments, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, transfers, separations, and pay rate changes.
  • Coordinate with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate benefits deductions, tax withholdings, and general ledger reporting.
  • Prepare payroll-related reports and respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support quarterly and annual payroll tax filings and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and payroll data.

 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of payroll processing experience required.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience required.
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, multi-state tax regulations, and reporting procedures preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong technical knowledge of ADP systems and payroll processes.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with general accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
